Biological filtration media in the form of ceramic, porous mini balls, having a large, active filtration surface (600m2 /l), which forms a special network of channels and pores. This provides an excellent habitat for the development of nitrifying bacteria from the genera Nitrosomonas and Nitrospira decomposing toxic ammonium ions (NH4) and nitrite (NO2) into the least harmful form of nitrogen, that is to nitrates (NO3), which are much safer for the inhabitants of the aquarium. The conical pore shape also allows decomposition of nitrates (NO3), which accelerate the growth of algae.

Our Bio-Ceramics is intended for biological filtration in any type of filtration system. It can be placed loosely in filter baskets as well as in special pouches for this purpose. It can be used in both freshwater and marine aquariums. It is especially recommended for tanks with lots of fish. Application:

• In order to ensure proper operation, it is recommended to place the Bio Ceramic Mini Balls cartridge behind the mechanical filtration inserts and before the chemical filtration cartridges.
• 1kg of the Bio Ceramic Balls Mini is intended for a maximum of 250 l of water.
• Before the first use, the cartridge should be rinsed under running water.
• The cartridge should be cleaned only in the water drained from the aquarium. Do not wash under running water to avoid sterilizing it.
• The Bio Ceramic Mini Balls cartridge works effectively for 6 months. After this time, its effectiveness may be reduced. For optimum effect, it is recommended to replace a minimum of 1/3 of the cartridge for a new one every 6 months
