The mast has five sections, with an
overall unfitted length of 104 cm. When fitted the exposed aerial
length will be between approximately 94 and 99 cm. The tip is 'can' shaped 10
mm deep, with a beveled underside. The bottom section of the mast is 9 mm
diameter. The mast is supplied complete with the white nylon toothed drive
cable, but WITHOUT the retaining sleeve, so please ensure you can remove and re-use the existing retaining sleeve. Fitting is normally possible from
outside the car, just by removing the aerial top nut and ejecting the mast by
turning the radio on. To re-fit, feed the cable in, until it meshes in the gear
mechanism, turn the radio off, and the mast will be drawn in. Full fitting
instructions are included with the mast.
The photo of the aerial is to help
identify the aerial type. This mast will only fit the design of aerial shown,
or replace masts, exactly matching the mast description and dimensions. There
are a number of similar design aerials and you will need to identify for
yourself whether the aerial you have is definitely this type, though some
small variations in design may be apparent. You may need to remove the boot
trim to confirm the type fitted.
If your aerial motor works, but your
mast is broken, not fully retracting, sticking, bent has stripped teeth, noisy
or suffering poor radio reception this is probably what you need to restore the aerial to full working order.
