Aeroflow high torque starter motors are serviceable and manufactured from high quality aluminium with a CNC machined multi-angle mounting block that allows different mounting positions to clear multiple header and oil pan configurations. This 1.4kw / 1.9hp starter is recommended for engines all the way up to a monster 400cu and 14:1 compression ratio and utilizes a 4.44:1 gear reduction. Aeroflow starter motors have high heat resistance helping to eliminate hot start problems and are powder coated black for extra corrosion protection. Fitment notes:
- Starter has a 3/4 in. offset and fits applications with automatic transmissions using a 157 or 164 tooth ring gear or manual transmissions using a 157 tooth ring gear (Normally 5-speeds). This replaces OEM starters with a 'nose' that extends 2-3/8 in. past the mounting surface.
- Suitable for models fitted with existing 3/4 offset starter.
- Suitable for models fitted with 3 speed auto transmission.
- Mounting holes are not threaded, which most factory starters are not. But in some instances the factory starter motor mounting holes are threaded, which means you will need to purchase appropriate nuts/bolts for mounting, which can be purchased from any good fastener/bolt store.
- Adjustable mounting block allows fitment to multiple configurations of oil pan and extractors, but please use the above measurements and information to compare to your original starter motor, to ensure correct fitment for your vehicle.
