Meccano Set 9 Small Parts Boxes Label Wraps. Full Set. Reproductions
These are copies of the wrap-around labels used for the medium red & green outfits from 1949/50 until the end of this era. They were used in the oak chest outfits and the standard red cardboard boxed outfits around the same period. These are reproduction labels. I have used fonts that look very similar if not the same to the original words and numbers - very close to the originals. These labels go on the bottom of the boxes, I do also sell the labels for the top of the boxes.
Printed on high quality, bright white paper. The colour of the original labels did vary but the colour of these is a close approximation to the average.
Please
note that the sheet may be cut down the middle (approx A5) for shipping
purposes. This will not affect the number of labels sent - they will
just be on two sheets, rather than one.
You will have to carefully cut around each label and stick it on the base of your box and up the sides. This will obviously seal the box so you will probably want to carefully cut the label afterwards. For a more authentic look, you could use your thumb to cut the label each end - I'm sure most children lucky enough to own one of these sets would not bother with scissors.
Please also bear in mind that they will probably fade in prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
