Sourdough Starter is alive microorganism and (like pet) needs to be taken care of. Please, familirize yourself with the product before ordering. 

The cultures can be maintained indefinitely if taken care of properly. Many valuable strains will be lost if the culture is neglected or handled carelessly. Never freeze the Starter.

Instructions for all Starters activation can be found at liveprobiotic.spot.com or can be sent to your e-mail address. 

Starters are posted live & active in semi-dormant state, 1/4-1/3 of glass or dehydrated for overseas and remote locations orders if requested.

This 100% Organic Wholegrain Rye Starter is low gluten culture, has been raised in Organic Wholegrain Rye flour milled freshly and kept active at all times. 

Rye Starter has different microorganisms make-up from that of the Wheat and Gluten Free Starters. It has less lacti-bacteria, thriving almost without lacti-flora. 

This Starter is most suitable for the variety of Rye Bread baking (savour and sweet). It can also be used to bake Rye/Wheat and Wheat Breads, although it is advisable to use the Wheat Starter to take the most flavour out of Wheat baking. It can also be used for Gluten Free bakery.

Upon arival, it needs to be "fed" with Wholegrain/Wholemeal Rye flour (pure without additives and unaltered). Please, ensure you have it ready.

It is buyer's responsibility to use Express Post or request dehydrated version of the Starter if their location is remote or interstate and the delivery can not be made possible within 5 days.

All Cultures are posted on Monday and Tuesday only to ensure they arrive before weekends.

The Culture can not be returned by post due to the nature of product. All sales are final. If you have problems activating the Starter, one free replacement is offered or the refund of sale’s price minus admin expenses and eBay/PayPal fees.

If there is any problem after delivery, please, let me know before opening claims via ebay/PayPal (it puts sellers rating down).

TERMS

Unless you specify that you prefer the Starter in dehydrated form, it will be sent freshly fed within Australia. Please, attend to it straight after receiving. If there is a problem, please, contact me before opening claims via eBay. 

I post the cultures on Mondays and Tuesdays only to ensure they arrive before weekends. If your destination is in remote location, ease, choose Express Post or ask for dehydrated version.

Overseas orders will be sent dehydrated unless ordered via Express Post.

The Starters are prepared specifically for your order and sent alive and active. If your order takes 10 days or longer to arrive to non-remote destination, and fresh starter can’t be activated (dies during transit), the full refund, including postage will be given, or the replacement offered.

If upon receipt you fail to activate the Starter, the replacement can be offered, or the refund of selling price.


DISCOUNTS

When buying multiple items in one order:

5% discount - for 3rd-4th items,
10% discount - for 5+ items.

If you do not request total before paying, I will refund the postage and the discounts (refunds for $4 and less will not be processed if the total is not requested).

SHIPPING

Multiple items are subject to combined shipping costs. Recycled packaging is used for environmental reasons and to reduce shipping costs.

For NT, North QLD, WA and other remote locations where the ordinary post takes more than 7 days, please, use Express Post.
