VTG President Nixon & V. President Agnew Dancing Ritar Music Boxes Political Humor Caricatures Lot ca.1970
Rare lot of two music boxes with caricatures of President Nixon and Vice President Agnew dancing to Ta-Ra Ra Boom Teay. On December 13, 1970 The New York Times published an article on the toy industry and mentioned these political humor music boxes as possible Christmas gifts. Mechanicals are in good working condition-music boxes play correctly and the jointed figures dance as intended. Both boxes are in very good condition with only small paint losses to the exterior cases. Some losses to inner case but that is generally unseen. See Image 5 & Image 10.
MEASUREMENTS: Aprox. 6.25 inches high, 7 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep.
