Do you own a Telecaster with a Humbucker Neck and Single Coil Bridge? confused as to which way to go with the electronics? 500K 250k? don't want to lose the balance on either pickup, yet you will if you go one way or another. But with a 480k resistor cut to the bridge pickup ( if single coil ) and a 0.022 Capacitor you can still maintain the quality sound and tone of both pickups.
Using a resistor in parallel with your pickup can make a pickup 'see' a different value pot than there actually is. Let's take this scenario: Your Telecaster with a Humbucker in the neck and a single coil in the Bridge. You can use the 500k pot for a master volume and run a 470K resistor off the switch from your bridge position and running it to ground. The Humbucker in the neck will see the 500K volume pot as normal, and the bridge will see a 242K pot (close enough to 250k)
