Danny Frolich is American Artist from New Orleans. He began working professionally as an Illustrator at the age of 17. As most artist, his beginnings were humble and his career began illustrating house renderings for a New Orleans builder. In 1967 Danny had significant influence in the science fiction publication, Fanzines. In 1968 he started cartooning professionally for the short lived underground comic scene in New Orleans, during that time he published three comic books with Big Muddy Comics. His work would evolve to mainstream advertising in various New Orleans magazines, and other local publications including Radio Phone and Tidewater Marine. Danny has produced cover art  and illustrations for Hal Clement’s "Left of Africa", John Blaine's "Magic Talisman", and two R.A. Lafferty books, Lou Nuckles, Diving Manuals and histories by Richard Dixon. It was also in the 1970’s that Danny starting working for Artist Blaine Kern Mardi Gras production company, he designed floats, doubloons, posters, and throw items. In 1976 Danny departed the Kern Studio and started his own Mardi Gras production studio. For over 20 years Danny Frolich has been responsible for designing some of the most famous floats, doubloons, throw items and posters for the now popular Mardi Gras Parade in New Orleans, his work includes some of the most prestigious floats on Bourbon Street, Krewe of Bacchus, Rex, Endymion and most of the rental fleet. While his artistic influence can be seen every year by thousands at Mardi Gras, his large scale work (murals) emerged in 1982, including work for the city of Kenner, Royal Sonesta Hotel, restaurants, and night clubs throughout New Orleans, LA and Fort Worth, TX.  In 1987 he painted the mural for Pope John Paul II youth rally in New Orleans and in 1984 designed the back gates to the New Orleans World's Fair. In 1989, Danny again showcased his amazing flexibility as as an artist and began silk screening with a partner in Flamingo Productions, that partnership evolved into Emerald Coast Connection and produced scenic designs for conventions and large parties.  Danny would eventually find himself working in the Destin area designing and illustrating logos, murals, T-shirt and posters. In 1999 Beads By The Dozen contracted Danny as one of their lead designers. Every year at Mardi Gras thousands of people can be seen wearing original artwork by Danny Frolich himself. Today Danny resides in Destin with his wife. Where he continues working as an illustrator and painter.
