""There are a lot of emotions I'm trying to connect with, for the reader, when it comes to my version of Superman. This is the superhero who started it all, the eternal Superman, the classic icon." — Alex Ross

This dynamic illustration is from the graphic novel "Peace on Earth". Ross takes the viewer on a visual journey through the origins of Superman, the Last Son of Krypton.  The piece begins with Superman’s birth. With the destruction of Planet Krypton imminent, Jor-El places his son in a small rocket and launches him to safety. Landing on Earth, the rocket is discovered by Jonathan and Martha Kent, who raise the small child as their own and name him Clark. As he grows into adulthood, Clark Kent discovers his special gifts and powers. He keeps these powers a secret and adopts an alias: Superman.  This piece comes finished mounted in a black mat with a certificate of authenticity as part of a series of only 500.  This is a sold-out edition, own one now while you still can - you won't regret it!
