Ammolite is Canada’s birthstone because it’s only mined in Lethbridge, Alberta , Canada. It was designated Canada’s gemstone for Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017. It is cut from a large fossilized shell like creature an Ammonite nautilus that lived during the dinosaur era.The Ammolite gemstone is cut into many variety of shapes this one is almost rectangular in shape it is a natural freeform doublet.This beautiful Natural Freeform Ammolite has the rare bright blue & purple colours combined with a striking emerald green in the centre of the stone. The measurements of this stone are 39mm in length and 30mm in width and a thickness of 4mm. It is set in a four claw plain framed sterling silver setting that protects the stone and includes your choice of a 16” or 18” sterling silver box chain.
