These are vintage shoes that are an authentic piece of Knott’s Berry Farm history. My husband attended the Knott’s Berry Farm auction held on site on March 31, 2017. He bought this lot of approximately 130 pairs of shoes for me to share with you. Knott’s Berry Farm, in their 87 year history has never sold any of their artifacts or antique collections until this auction so this is a unique opportunity to own of piece of Southern California history.

This is a pair of girl's Edwardian Mary Jane shoes. The brand is Diamond O U Shu. They are canvas shoes that were originally white but they look ivory now and have some stains from years of display. They look unworn. Each strap has a button and button hole. See photos. The shoes are in a delicate state but have a beautiful aged appearance. I am selling these shoes as not wearable and as is. The ID number inside the shoe is 4125 8632 X69.

Just to give you an idea of their size the measurements are:

Wall to toe: 8 1/2 inches long
Width at the widest part of the sole/ball of the foot: 2 5/8 inches
Height: 3 inches
Heel: 3/4 inches

The shoes were used for display in the General Store, peek-ins and other areas of Knott’s Berry Farm for years. They are not wearable but would be beautiful shelf sitters with a wonderful story to tell. They would also be fabulous to use in a steampunk installation.

I am offering these shoes for $50.00 for one pair. If you purchase 2 pairs they would be $40.00 each and if you purchase 3 pairs they would be $30.00 each. If you are interested in purchasing more than 3 pairs you can message me for a price quote.

Keep checking back. I will be listing many more of these!

I’ve included photos of the catalog description and history of these shoes at Knott’s Berry Farm, the front cover of the auction catalog and the Certificate of Authenticity for the shoe lot. I retyped the catalog description and have included it below.

Heritage Knott’s Berry Farm Auction March 31, 2017 Buena Park, CA

“Lot 95200 Ghost Town Vintage Shoe and Collar Collection (c. 1940s). The Ghost Town General Merchandise Store was built in 1944 on Market Street. It was not constructed as a replica of any specific building, but typical of the architecture of the “Gold Rush Days”. The first merchandise came from an old store about 40 miles from Santa Barbara, Where an 80-year-old gentleman had kept the business going for more than 40 years. This old store, with a massive inventory, lost most of its business when a highway went in; however, the owner kept the store open despite the lack of customers. Knott’s Berry Farm stockers made many trips to this store, buying old shoes, clothing, and six kegs of old-fashioned square nails, which ended up in the construction of Ghost Town. This lot includes over 130-plus pairs of antique ladies leather shoes. You can see images of ladies trying on shoes in the Ghost Town General Store in press photos of the 1940s, Also in this lot is 25 boxes of pre-made collars. Some of this inventory has been used to clothe the “peek-in” mannequins in the various shops at Ghost Town for more than 75 years. All the shoes and collars are sold “as is”.
