This is an original ponytail Barbie, version 5 from 1961. She has very soft hair that is in 2 braids and has been stored this way. I'm not certain if her hair is thinned out, or if unbraiding and restyling would correct the balding in the back- I think it would, but I am not an expert. She has some damaged areas- she has what I consider a "light" case of the greasy/shiny face syndrome, but it is apparent. Her right hand is missing the index and pinky fingers. She has seen play and is not pristine- she is dirty, especially her legs, and has some marks on her that looks like someone poked her with a needle in her nipple area. The back of her neck is cracked, but it doesn't affect the way her head sits on her body. However, if you hold her by her head this will cause it to pull off.
