Antique Chrome Plated Jugendstil Art Deco Teapot w/Warmer by Ernst Hecker, Aue c.1930s

Description: This very interesting chrome or nickel-plated metal combination teapot with stand and warmer was made by Ernst Hecker of Aue, Germany - one of the metalwork Art Nouveau/Art Deco company. The Ernst Hecker factory was in business from 1891 till 1935 and was manufacturing many kinds of beautiful Art Nouveau and Art Deco metalware items - pewter, copper, silverplate, etc.

This beautiful and stylish teapot is made of chrome-plated metal and the same stand and warmer. The wicker handle is woven with a natural cane. It has distinctive late Art Nouveau/Art Deco design consisting of simplistic geometrical elements - very typical for the period of the late 1920s - early 1930s.

All the elements - the shape, the stand and warmer, and the handle and finial are all parts of a beautiful and stylish design. The pot itself is hand-hammered, the lid and the stand are plain - I guess, that was the design idea.

The stein is marked on the bottom with the E.Hecker trademark - a running heron in triangle.

The whole set is 10.5" tall to the top of the finial and approximately 6.5" in stand diameter. It is in very good condition - there are no dents, no damage or repairs. The wicker on the handle is worn - this is the only flaw.
