SYNOPSIS ET DÉTAILS

Carolyn Polhemus, procureure du comté de Kindle, est assassinée chez elle. Son employeur, le procureur général Raymond Horgan, charge son bras droit Rusty Sabich de mener l'enquête. Mais deux procureurs concurrents, Nico Della Guardia et Tommy Molto, découvrent que Sabich et Carolyn ont eu une liaison qui s'est mal terminée. Molto et Della Guardia s'en servent pour accuser leur rival Sabich d'être l'assassin et organisent un procès pour lui. Afin d'éviter la prison, Rusty appelle à l'aide le meilleur avocat de la région, Sandy Stern, et son ami policier Daniel Lipranzer. Malheureusement Della Guardia et Molto affirment avoir des preuves accablantes contre Rusty.

SYNOPSIS AND DETAILS

Carolyn Polhemus, Kindle County Attorney, is murdered at home. His employer, Attorney General Raymond Horgan, instructs his right arm Rusty Sabich to investigate. But two competing prosecutors, Nico Della Guardia and Tommy Molto, discover that Sabich and Carolyn had an affair that ended badly. Molto and Della Guardia use it to accuse their rival Sabich of being the murderer and organize a trial for him. In order to avoid prison, Rusty calls for help the best lawyer in the region, Sandy Stern, and his police friend Daniel Lipranzer. Unfortunately Della Guardia and Molto claim to have overwhelming evidence against Rusty.
