During the Hundred Years War, the French Duke Thibault de Malfète is preparing to marry Rosaline, the daughter of the King of Great Britain. However, Earl de Warrick intends to oppose the marriage. A witch has concocted a potion for him to offer to Duke Thibault. The latter, not suspecting treachery, ingesting it. Immediately victim of hallucinations, he accidentally kills his beloved. An irreversible gesture which earned him the death penalty. Duke Thibault was however saved by his faithful servant, André le Pâté, and the English magician. This prepares them a drink that will allow them to go back in time and thus be able to prevent Rosaline's death. But he forgets to include in the potion a crucial element and the two men find themselves immersed in the corridors of time. The two lads end up in the year 2000 in Chicago, in a room rebuilt in a large museum for an exhibition on the Middle Ages. This cultural event was organized by the curator Julia Malfète who is none other than Rosaline's descendant and constitutes the key to their return home.
