*** If you are buying multiple patterns, please put them all in your basket and pay for them all together to get combined postage***

Please note: This is a quality, cleaned and restored copy of the pattern for you to knit the item/s yourself. It is Not for the original pattern or the finished article/s.

Description: Reprint of a vintage 1940s WWII knitting pattern/instructions to make cute cuddly mummy cat & kitten, with clothes. The patterns use 3ply yarn,  but you can substitute modern 4ply as it is of similar weight to 3ply wool of the time the pattern was written.  You may need to adjust your needle size to keep the stitches firm so the stuffing doesn't come through.

  • Materials:
    • 3 1/2 ounces (approx 100 grams) of oddments, you can vary the stripes and colours to suit your choice or yarn you have in your stash. A pair each  of No.10 (3.25mm) & No. 14 (2.00 mm) knitting needles.
    • Small bits of fabric to line the ears, and wool or thread for the wiskers.
    • Child safe toy stuffing and eyes.  The original pattern suggests buttons for the eyes, to use what was available at the time of rationing and scarcity of supplies.

Due to the age of the pattern, the original yarn suggested may not be available.  It is recommended to crochet/knit a tension square with your chosen yarn, before starting, to ensure the finished garment or item is the size you require.

If you have any questions about the pattern please contact me.

The pattern will be sent via royal mail 2nd class to keep costs down, and I get proof of postage.  Other than weekends I can usually post your pattern within 24 hours.  Whilst I make every effort to ensure the patterns are protected well for transit, should there be any issues with the pattern, please contact me to allow me to resolve them before leaving feedback.

Postage and packaging costs quoted are for mainland UK via Royal Mail. Certain areas of Scotland and Ireland may unfortunately incur additional postage charges.  I am happy to search for the cheapest postage cost for delivery to non-standard service areas, please ask before bidding.

From August 2020 eBay are charging sellers for handling payments per individual transaction.  As such I will continue to combine postage for multiple patterns 'paid for separately', however, unfortunately I cannot refund the new eBay payment handling charges.  Please purchase multiple patterns together in one transaction for automatic postage discounts.
