This flange with threaded nipple insert is for a threaded pole. If you have a smooth pole then my other listing w/o nipple insert will do.
This flange with threaded 3 inch tall nipple insert can be used to mount your wind turbine head to a threaded 1 1/4 inch pole at the top. Then if needed, you get a second one and mount the base of the pole to the threaded nipple that is set into the flange then mount to a hardened surface . This flange is made of galvanized cast steel and is rust-resistant. Includes 5/16" bolts, washers and nuts. The threaded 3 inch tall pipe adapter that comes with the flange is to be set inside the flange then the bottom or top ( depending on your set up) of the pole can be threaded onto it. So You may need two flange kits to mount the wind turbine to the top of the pole and then you can mount the whole set up to a hard surface at the base. This flange and pipe adapter is not strong enough to hold a pole with a large heavy wind turbine. I would not go heavier than 25 pound turbine head. If mounting to the ground then a second flange kit is not needed as you would dig for the pole and secure with concrete as one does with fence posts. If using concrete then you could go much heavier with the turbine head weight. This item will ship via USPS.
