Remember the Lancers? The Virginia Lancers played in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League (ACHL) and East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) from 1985 to 1990. The market was later home to the Roanoke Valley Rebels, Roanoke Valley Rampage and Roanoke Express.
