Here's a ceramic sculpture that Peter Shire made in 1977. I got it from the estate of art collector Wilfred D Fletcher (1922-2016) of Palos Verdes Estates, California.

This piece was shown at Lora Schlesinger Gallery (at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica) at an exhibition in 2012. The exhibition was "Peter Shire's Cups 1974-2012" and it consisted of pieces that had never been exhibited before.  The online catalog for this show can still be seen online. I assume that Mr. Fletcher obtained this sculpture at that show.

The catalog gives the title, Peach With Tamago Slice and dimensions 9'' x 8'' x 6'' (it measures 11'' diagonally). It is signed on the front of the cup, "EXP 1977 SHIRE".

This came to me with the tip of one of the peach leaves missing. The other (lower) leaf also has a bit off the tip. Condition is otherwise excellent.
