Volcanic lava is a perfect filter media, which provides high level of biological filtration.

Thanks to rough structure and large surface for growth of bacteria, organic wastes are efficienly reduced, the water is perfectly clear and clean.

• Lava Rock is suitable for all marine and fresh water aquariums. 
• Ideal for cascade, external, internal, pond, sump filters
• Clarifies the water and stabilizes the pH
• The porous structure of the lava is a perfect material for deposition of nitrifying bacteria
• After growing on the lava rock surface, this bacteria will clean the water from nitrite and ammonia to reduce toxic nitrites, which are then collected by the plants.
• Prevents the formation of algae 
• This will help to keep the beneficial nitrifying bacteria on its surface
• Before inserting the filter we recommend to rinse it.
