2009 SOUTH AFRICA SILVER PROOF 2 RAND
FIFA MASCOT ZAKUMI
NGC PF69

This coin is a "NCS Conservation Candidate" which means it would likely have graded PF70 if I had of taken their recommendation and had the coin conserved.

I bought this coin in Africa for $60 as a high-grade coin. Shipping from Africa in a package with other items had a pro-rated cost of $6 for the coin. This was then sent to grading and with shipping to NGC and back factored in , that cost was $22. The "other" cost is $8 and shipping and packaging cost to provide "free" DOMESTIC shipping is $5. This adds up to $101 for the cost of the coin. So I'm losing a little over $20 on this one. This coin statistically doesn't grade well and is about the 4th one that I've had graded and 3 out of 4, despite being great looking coins, graded PF69.
This one was flagged as being a candidate for conservation and would have undoubtedly graded higher if I had of had that done. Conservation can add weeks to getting the whole coin parcel back and since I already had a PF70 in my personal collection I declined conservation.
This coin is freshly graded with a pristine new holder and is priced to be a relative bargain given the cost to obtain and grade high-grade coins and given the poor statistical chances of getting a perfect grade even on high-grade coins of this year and type.

I ALSO HAVE AN UNGRADED EXAMPLE OF THIS COIN LISTED IN MY EBAY STORE.
You may want to check out my other items as I have lots of South African silver coins, included graded and raw coins.  I'M ALWAYS ADDING NEW COINS ........
