These CNC-machined PCEstud girdles help control valve lift and timing changes due to stud flex, allowing for more consistent high-rpm performance. Each stud girdle is anodized and comes with high-quality mounting hardware and hardened adjusting nuts. Tall-style valve covers are required.
The best thing you will ever do for your engine is to put a set of stud girdles on it. This stabilizes the valve train, and allows for full lift. Studs will flex on an engine at high rpm, when running cams that are higher than stock, and those running roller cams with higher spring pressures, must have these. We never build an engine without installing a set of these. Takes no additional time to install than when installing roller rockers. It's an absolute fact that studs will flex at mid to high rpm. It happens in an erratic fashion, causing loss of engine smoothness, hp, and slower acceleration. For the low cost, we have them for these are a must.
Besides gaining 5-10 hp one more noticeable difference is that the engine will accelerate and decelerate faster. These are truly essential for engines with cams above stock. Stud girdles also act as a baffle to redirect oil back down on the valve train components. This is very important since most tall valve covers on the market have no baffles. Ever notice how the baffles are located in many factory valve covers. They are serious about getting the oil that is pumped up from the pushrods redirected to the moving parts in the head. These do a fabulous job of that.
In 1979, the company was founded with Pete's Performance, which was a small speed workshop. It began by building engines for customers as a hobby, and it has now grown to include selling, assembling, manufacturing and racing high performance engine parts. Over the years, the company has grown into a worldwide high performance powerhouse. Growing from a one-man bricks-and-mortar business; to now a supply chain in which entails more than 400+ people all across the world. Today, Pete's Performance has evolved into the internationally known Speedmaster: which has distribution centres and offices is Sydney, Los Angeles and Shanghai.
Founded in Sydney Australia with one CNC Machine increasing to sixty 5-Axis CNC machines before being acquired in 2013. The Company's main focus has always been "Speed to Market", launching 1,200+ new products each year. Needing just one month to develop a new product and get it on to the shelf, compared to the six-month industry average. PCE has a policy of zero advertising, preferring to invest a percentage of revenues in new product development. These products being white-labeled to most of the biggest brands in the business.
