Detail Information

Product Features:

It allows Leica R Lens to be used on EOS cameras in stop down mode. The lenses with aperture ring will be 100% function except auto focus while those without aperture ring can only be used work on maximum aperture.

It support all EOS 35mm film or Digital SLR cameras(20d, 10D, 350D, 300D, IDs, ID MK II).

It supports stop down manual exposure, aperture priority exposure as well as TTL flash.

It supports Infinity Focus.

 

User Instruction:

Please use the adapter in this way
To Mount: Mount the Lens onto the adapter then mount them onto the camera.
To Remove: Remove both lens / adapter together from the camera, press the lens lock and then remove the adapter from the lens simultaneously.

Settings:

1. Put red marks of the adapter and lens collar together.
2. Turn the adapter clockwise till the fixative click.
3. Set the lens.

Which lenses won't work?

Because the rear of some Leica R optical assemblies protrude deeply into the camera's body, there are mirror clearance issues with some Leica R lenses when mounted onto Canon bodies.

In September 2002 Douglas Herr noted the following:
Be careful not to use any R lenses which require extra mirror clearance, as the Canon mirror will hit the rear of the lens.
These lenses include:
* 35mm Summilux-R
* current 50mm Summilux-R
* 16mm fisheye
* 15mm Elmar-R
* current (2nd version) 19mm Elmarit-R
* 24mm Elmarit-R
* early 80-200mm f/4.5 zoom
