4, 8 or 16 ounces of  long staple Coopworth Ready-to-Use Wool Roving. Great for spinning, felting, doll making, Peg loom weaving and all your other arts and Crafts projects. Four ounces will make 4 ounce of yarn which is enough for a small knitting project. Eight ounces is great for stuffing dolls and sixteen is required for a small peg loom rug or wall hanging. Coopworth has great crimp and as a result almost spins itself. If used in a rug or doll stuffing, it is soft, and light. Professionally washed and carded by Alford Family Farms and Spinnery, with great care taken to ensure a wonderful end product. The wool is skirted, pre-washed followed by opening, tumbling, hand picking of vegetable matter, two washes, two rinses and carding. The scouring process allows for a gentle moving of water through the wool to avoid agitation. Temperature controls prevent shock to the fleece as it soaks. No harsh chemicals are used in the cleaning of the fleece. This fiber is NOT superwashed. A Stonehedge picker and carder process the washed fleece. This GORGEOUS roving is from a white Coopworth fleece. The roving is perfect for spinning and knitting, or felting into warm garments! The carded fiber is super easy to spin on a spinning wheel or drop spindle. The color is a soft white. If you make a garment from this fiber, you will need to wash it before wearing it since we use a detergent to control static in carding. The fiber is from a flock near Orange, Virginia.
