figurine
Vintage Made in Japan
Pattern is called "Bad Break"  very, very rare!
Pattern # 1112

a girl dressed up (playing dress up?) with her doll wearing a hat and purse and white gloves

a boy with rolled up jeans and rolled up sleeves, wearing an apron, holding a cup and a towel, he is drying dishes and dropped a dish, hence the title of this figurine is "Bad Break"

Humorous look at life in the 1950's

Made by Lefton, sticker still on bottom

there is a hole on the bottom during manufacture, the base is oval - ish

Dimensions:  about 6 1/4 inches tall, almost 5 1/2 inches at it's widest part
base is oval-ish shaped, about 5 inches by 2 3/8 inches

Priced high due to it's extreme rarity!  Priced to accommodate for the chip

CONDITION:  no noticed repairs, no "chips" from fingers or hair or corners EXCEPT under the boy's hands is a missing piece, broken off!   ("Bad Break" - ironic actually)
I see some pencil or marks, this has NOT been dusted or cleaned, left as found. A small mouse bite sized chip off the right side of the base, bottom base top has some glaze crazing, entire piece is very lightly glazed if at all, closer to bisque.
