-   Here is a rare pair of early 19th Century Coin Silver eyeglasses or spectacles, almost certainly made by and signed P GARRETT  PHILADELPHIA. Phillip Garett worked from 1801-1828 in Philadelphia as a silversmith.  The eyeglasses  have telescoping arms - one of the arms is detached – upon examining the arm that is attached, the rim seem to be separated on that arm as well – again, where the arm is fitted to the rim, the rim appears to be separated. The arm that is attached is signed P GARRETT  PHILADELPHIA. There is no glass. I was tempted to polish these fine and historic Coin Silver spectacles but thought better of it.  A nice and Very Early pair, possibly made as early as before the War of 1812 and not too many years after Independence and the Declaration. These are at least 192 Years Old. Out of a many generation Pennsylvania estate – buyer pays 7.50 safe bubble shipping and tracking in USA
