Presenting a vintage Wembley Ware Australian pottery lustre Swan ashtray.
This ashtray features a beautiful scalloped rim enhanced by the gorgeous light cream/pearl colour of the lustre glaze. Three cigarette rests also compliment this feature with their wonderful gold plated form.
A ribbed effect has also been incorporated into the design running from the outer edge to the centre where they unite to form a small pedestal. Upon this pedestal an elegant swan sits magnificently.
This Wembley piece would have originally had a sticker but has scinced perished as is very common with these pieces.
This would make a wonderful addition to any Australian pottery collection.
This great piece measures 13cm in diameter and stands 5.5cm at its tallest.
Presented in excellent vintage condition.
This piece is free from any chips, cracks or repairs.
There are some losses to the gold paintwork as can be seen however this barely detracts from the asthetic visual appeal and is mentioned for complete accuracy.
It displays excellently!!!
