This textile is an antique French woman's bodice dating from the 1850's. The body is made of a beautiful silky black satin with deteriorating black lace accents at the opening.  The lining is a plain cotton and there is beautiful ribbing with structures made of metal, which are rusting around the edges. The lining of the sleeves is a fabulous floral and striped printed cotton shirting fabric!~ This textile is both machine and hand stitched.  Such a beautiful shape, with gorgeous pleats!  There are tiny little rusty hook and eye clasps to close at the front, STUNNING! ~*~ ( 322 ) 

MEASUREMENTS : This lovely blouse measures 20.5 inches long at the longest point. The sleeves measure 21 inches long. The chest from one underarm to the other laid flat measures 16.5 inches and the shoulders are approx. 11.25 inches ~
  
CONDITION : This textile is in as found ,not laundered condition. The lace has not survived very well, but overall the satin is in beautiful condition!   There are rust stains on the ribs and around the metal clasps, remarkable aged condition!
