• A lovely little find! ~ this charming textile is a vintage French children's work smock dating c1930's or earlier. So rare to find vintage children's textiles!! ~*~ Most likely from a boy's  or girls school ~  This lovely overcoat was intended to protect the clothing when playing! ~ This lovely smock is machine stitched and is made using a medium to heavy weight , grey twill weave cotton with a white fill thread. There are some beautiful hand-stitched mends on this little coat and a patch, you can tell this was well used and cared for!  A lovely little treasure, ideal for daily use or handing for display ~*~ ~ ~ . ~*~ ( smock 53 )

MEASUREMENTS : This sweet child's smock measures  approximately: 27 inches long , 15 inch sleeves ( measured from the shoulder seam )  13 inch shoulders, and the chest measures 15.75 inches from under one arm to under the other, laying flat. ~*~ 

CONDITION : I've freshly laundered this lovely textile and it's ready to use. Beautiful,  timeworn condition!  There is a small hole in the front left side pocket, a tear by the mend in the back of one arm and a pale mark or two.  ~*~  ~*~ ~
