Description
Presenting a superb Art Deco Amber depression glass vase and frog.
This piece features a most desireable design. The octagonal base steps upwards with defined segments forming the pattern of the lower body. As with the height of the Deco era a wonderful arrow like design features to the upper portion with the the geometric lines and angles embodying the Art Deco era perfectly.
Eight points beautifully make up the flared top of the vase embodying a star like quality and appearance.
The colouring is a warm rich honey amber as is the colouring to the frog.
This vase would make an exceptional addition to any Depression glass collection.
This amazing vase measures 18.5cm across at its widest at the rim, stands 18cm tall and 11.5cm in diameter at its base.
Presented in great near Antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
There are a few tiny nibbles and rough areas to the points of the base and a few rough areas to the points of the rim. These are barely noticeable and would be expected due to the age of the vase which is almost 100 years old and in no way detract from the display quality as they have to be looked at very closely to be noticed. There is chipping to the frog however these cannot be noticed onced housed inside the vase. Again this is very common with frog inserts.
There is some minor age related wear and mentioned for accuracy only.
It displays beautifully!!!
