This is a 6 gear version of my short shift mod for the thrustmaster th8a gear shifter

The plate is printed in galaxy black top quality petg which is a strong impact resistant plastic.

Its harder to print with & costs more than pla.

Most other sellers use weaker more brittle pla plastic, as it is the cheapest printing plastic & is very easy to print with

This is not recommended for wear parts due to lower strength & brittleness meaning it will wear faster & has a higher chance of chipping or breaking

As standard the th8a has a slightly long throw distance.

This is a 3d printed plate that fits inbetween the top plate & shifter reducing the throw distance, forward & backwards while allowing you to keep your original top plate.

It also reduces the throw distance sideways a little.

7th gear is blocked off entirely in this version & the blocked piece carries on down so the gear shaft will knock against it a bit in its natural middle position rather than easily moving across into the blocked off section.

This makes it feel like more of a natural 6 speed box

Ive put locating pins for the top plate & shifter below for a perfect fit & also tightened some of the gears up a little.

It makes the shifter feel a bit tighter & most people find it much nicer & easier to use like this.

Gear shifting becomes a bit faster & it is less likely you will miss a shift.

Reverse is kept at as a longer throw distance.

Unlike some other thicker mod plates which I've seen, mine is low enough to make sure the plastic sleeve on the shaft still contacts with the plastic shift plate, to ensure wear should be kept minimal.

So no need for shrink tubing which you need to keep replacing or worry that the metal shaft will damage the shift plate.

Also included are a set of 4 longer bolts & an allen key.

Very quick & easy to fit.

I've also made sure that this plate is compatible with my gear blockers mod on a separate listing so although 7th is not needed, 5th & 6th can still be quickly & easily blocked off with gear blockers.
