About us

We hold national collections of Clivia, Agapanthus and Tulbaghia and have large collections of many other Plants. We are a small family run business with our nursery situated at the foot of the Pennines in South Yorkshire, where we have been for over 30 years.

For many years we have been displaying our collections and are Gold Medal winners at all the large RHS shows, including Chelsea and Hampton Court.

Visitors are welcome at the Hoyland Plant Centre all year round, for picking up orders or viewing the collections. Please contact Steve on 07717182169. Also look out for us at this coming RHS flower shows where we will be exhibiting our beautiful Agapanthus and Nerines in the Grand Pavilion marquees!

About Amarines

These are a wonderful new hybrid which is a cross between Amaryllis belladonna & Nerine bowdenii. They have the vigour of the Amaryllis and the hardiness of the Nerine bowdenii and are hardy to -10c. The flowers are mid-way between the parents - more trumpet like than nerine but smaller than amaryllis. They will thrive in a well-drained situation in either sun or semi-shade and they also grow well in pots.

Belladiva Series are bulbous perennials, producing clusters of up to 10 trumpet-shaped blooms in white or shades of pink on strong, upright stems in autumn, followed by strap-shaped leaves
