Offered is a tie dyed tapestry or wall hanging, a smiley face in a star pattern; orange, red purple and blue on a maroon (think earthy reddish purple). The fabric is 100% hemp summer cloth, manufactured in China, the tie dye was made by Andy Castle in San Francisco. Approximately 42" x 60", two of the sides are factory finished, two of the edges are unfinished and rough. Photography is not my specialty...

The fabric has the appearance of canvas, but lighter. It is similar, in many ways, to linen; while it is a little irregular (mostly nubs) in its weave the feel is smooth and comfortable when worn. The buyer might want to consider mounting this on some dowel to prevent sagging. Of course there may be other uses, I could imagine this incorporated in a quilting project or perhaps used as a throw. The dye process involved the use of procion dyes, all items were given 2 hot washes to remove any excess dye.

Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for considering this fabric!
