Each print is of the highest quality and created using Archival, lightfast ink and heavyweight paper. They are locally produced in Ayrshire, Scotland and all prints come ready to frame with mount card, MDF backing board and are cellophane wrapped to protect the Artwork.

THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK:

The original Artwork was created on Strathmore's high quality 300 Series Bristol paper. Once outlined, multiple layers of tiny 0.05mm & 0.03mm dots have been applied to create a unique depth and contrast. 

This technique of applying these layers of dots is better known as 'Stippling' or 'Dotwork' which has connotations to 'pointillism'.

Yes, compared to a simple photocopy or digital photograph, the term Giclée is used to describe a fine art digital printing process that combines pigment based inks and high quality archival quality paper. This process creates prints of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability that will stand the test of time.
