     For the past year, I have been buying compact retail water purification kits in the effort to find the right kit for personal Every Day Carry and to include in small/medium Survival Kits.  I was not able to find one that met my quality standards:  So I decided to build my own.  I have developed this extremely versatile, lightweight, and comprehensive kit from HIGH QUALITY items.

LET'S SEE WHAT IS IN THE KIT!!!!

Total Kit Dimensions (Packed) in Container:   1 1/8" Round Container x 7/16" Thick.  1/2" Brass Split Ring attached.

(1) Plastic Container, Round, Snap Hinge Lid:  Durable plastic container with thick hinge.  Brass Split Ring is attached to the hinge of the container in order to secure it to your gear.

(1) 1/2" Brass Split Ring:  The split ring is attached to the case for carry.  Also can be removed easily for other tasks...such as snare hardware or fishing applications.

(1) 1/8" x 7" Electrical Tape:  This thin band of electrical tape is wrapped around the plastic container to MAKE SURE that the case doesn't open unless you want it to.  The case...with it's contents...all fit perfectly inside.  The lid won't pop open....but the tape adds some security against accidental opening.  Also...the tape can come in handy for field repair and bushcraft.

(1) Trojan Brand, Non-Lubricated Condom:  While a condom is not the best or ideal container for water storage....let's face it folks:  IT WORKS!  A non-lubricated condom has been a staple of small and micro kits for years in order to collect and store water in the field without taking up much space.  It can hold a large amount of water relatively securely, and will perform even better if placed into a cloth sack or sock in order to better protect it.  In order to get the kit into the MICRO container...the condom has been removed from the packet and sits "figure-8" style in the container.  

(1) Wire, Flat, Plastic Coated Tie:  This wire "twist-tie" is used to secure the top of the condom after being filled with water.  Wrap around the top of the water container and twist it closed after folding the top of the loop over to secure it.  The water won't leak unless under extreme stress or rough handling.  A simple method to secure the top of the container for storage and transport.  NOTE:  Wire Tie is not shown in the photo...but is included in the kit.

(4) Water Purification Tablets, Individually packaged, AquaTab or Oasis Brand:  These tablets are used around the world in order to disinfect questionable water sources.  They are individually packaged effervescent tablets that disolve naturally in water.  These very small tablets wills kill micro-organisms and will prevent cholera, typhoid, disentary, and most other water bourne disease.  They are US EPA Apprroved and the primary ingredient:  NaDCC Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate is more effective and safer than iodine or bleach based treatment tablets.  Each tablet is designed to treat (1) Quart of water....so this MICRO kit can treat a GALLON of water....more than enough for one person for 1-2 days depending on climate and conditions.  Put simply....you won't find a kit this small, lighweight, and effective anywhere on eBay.   Water tables may be substituted with an equal or better brand (Oasis)
