note. Our tiaras are produced to a standard size but as they are made of copper
they are flexible, this flexibility allows for adjustment to cater for varying
head sizes and hair styles.
Once
adjusted to the required fit the tiara can be pinned in place using the holes
on each end of the frame.
Performing
these two necessary simple actions will ensure that the tiara stays firmly in
place for as long as required.
The Strathmore Rose Tiara.
The tiara takes its name from the Queen Mother’s family — she was born Lady Elizabeth Bowes Lyon, daughter of the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. She wore this tiara when married the Duke of York in 1923, at that time the Duke of York was not heir to the throne but her parents decided a new duchess needed a new tiara regardless. They gave her this floral piece, which was bought from Catchpole and Williams, a dealer based in London.
Our version is a faithful recreation of the real thing, constructed on a rhodium plated copper frame and adorned with simulated cubic zirconia diamonds. Ideal for a bride or for other formal occasions. An heirloom to treasure for many years.
