The first part of this work, lacking the second part. The second part is titled 'The Acts Made in the First Parliament of Our Most High and Dread Sovereign, Charles the First'.

This work is credited with having the earliest mention of golf in print.

ESTC citation number R30549. This ESTC listing states a different pagination and register.

The signatures run as *6, A-N12, O10.

With two preliminary contents leaves, titled 'Lectori de Libro'.

This work is a collection of the legal proceedings and laws from 1424 to 1564 that were enacted in Scotland. The complete work finished with the merging of Scotland and England as Great Britain.

That period was a tumultuous time in Scotland, under the leadership of the Stuarts. It saw the life of Mary Stuart, also known as Mary Queen of Scots, whos fight for England succession became pivotal point in history.

CONDITION

In a full calf binding. Externally, the rear board may detach. Rubbing and marking to the boards and spine. Crack to the head of the rear joint. Minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned with the odd mark.
