I have made this item, mainly from parts of a refurbished whisky oak cask. As such, condition is "Seller refurbished", but individually made and therefore unique.

The first part is a section of oak lid, which is quite flat. It consists of two or three pieces of the lid which the cask maker fixed together. This part is a semi circle shape. On top of this, is fixed a single section of lid. These parts has been refurbished, gently sanded and varnished.

The display side would have been the outside of the original cask.

I have then fixed two refurbished pieces of metal cask ring, which I have fixed at either end of the stave, to give the item a rustic effect.

Four holes are drilled into the lid sections and then four, NEW, soft wood poles (ie non cask) are sunk into these holes. They are glue and fixed with screws on the underside. These rise approx 38 cm from the surface of the stave (for sizing, in the photo are a pair of ladies wellies size 6 and a pair of size 9 gents boots).

The item weighs approx 3 kg and is approx 55 cm long (at rear), 20 cm deep (at centre) and 6 cm thick (total).

Please note, the footwear etc, in the photos are for display purposes and are NOT included in the sale.

As a natural product, with a working history, associated marks, colourings (whisky charring or staining) and size variations will be present.

Please note, items which I make a lot of, may not be the one in these photos, ie stock photos, although it will be very similar.
