A wonderful piece of fine quality Japanese Shippou Cloisonné Metal & enamel charger / Plate, beautiful vibrant colours of a Japanese cherry blossom tree.

The charger plate was enamelled between thin strands or silver wire by using a unique method of mixing ground glass, metal powders, applied by the artist, 

 fired in the kiln, resulting in 

 a wonderful enamelled portrait of the cherry blossom tree with amazing quality.

Japanese artistry at its best and pure style, would look wonderful in any style of home as this pieces oozes originality and quality whilst being unique.

This piece has retained its original wooden fitted box, its also marked with the makers name. 

I believe this piece was kept safely tucked away somewhere in its case as its obviously never been used other than display, as the condition is so good.

Condition.

Excellent condition, No dents or dints, no scratches, no broken or fragmented wires, no enamel damage whatsoever

Wonderful colour and very beautiful.

The box does show some signs of wear and a few scrapes on top and corners of the box, however its painted wood, all the hinges are perfect and shuts with both clasps working.

Displays wonderfully.
