EAPG Beatty-Brady GRIDLEY Water Pitcher Spanish American War

Offering an EAPG water pitcher by Beatty-Brady Glass Co, c. 1899-1900.  Referred to as the Gridley pitcher, this pattern was produced to commemorate the naval battle of Manila Bay fought May 1, 1898 during the Spanish American War. Pattern features a portrait of Charles V Gridley, commander of the Olympia and two soldiers holding flags with a band of artillery shells at border.

Note this is an original pitcher, not a reproduction noted by the seamless spout, distance of soldiers from portrait wreath and complete flag poles

Measures 8 ½” high at spout x 7 ¾” spout to handle to spout

In very good antique condition, there is a very small chip to the exterior rim as shown as well as a few exterior scratches, straw marks and air bubbles commensurate with age and use

A wonderful addition to any EAPG collection!
