This DVD (and any other DVD released anywhere in the world) will play just fine on any multi-region DVD player, bought in USA or elsewhere. It will also play on most computers' DVD drives. Some consumers actually own a multi-region DVD player, without knowing it. All you need to do if you own such Philips, Akai, CyberHome or other DVD player is to use your remote control to switch it to multi-region mode. As such features are almost always not documented by the DVD player's manufacturer, we'd recommend you check your DVD player's capabilities by searching the web for the words 'videohelp DVD Player and Blu-ray Player region codes' and choosing the very first link found.
For our USA customers, if you need an advise for a inexpensive ($30-$40) US DVD player, please feel free to contact us or to read our recommenations here: Our DVD player recommendations. Please keep in mind that we do not sell DVD players.

This DVD does not contain pornographic material and may be lawfully sold to and viewed by minors.

o Most of the DVD manufacturers don't state whether subtitles are optional or not. Unfortunately, we don't have the capacity to inspect every DVD title to determine whether subtitles can be removed or not. Therefore, when purchasing the DVD, which contains subtitles, the assumption should be that subtitles are not removable. However, you can try DVD's menu to turn off subtitles or try 'Subtitles' button on your DVD player's remote control to turn off the subtitles track. If these steps don't work, then unfortunately subtitles are not optional.

Synopsis:
First-time filmmaker Richard W. Bean directed and produced this independent romantic comedy that he also co-wrote with Gregg Saccon. Megan Edwards stars as Sara, a straight-laced school teacher who suddenly finds her life turned upside-down on show-and-tell day, when one of her students brings in freewheeling tattoo artist Virgil (Virgil Mignanelli). At first Sara is averse to Virgil, but gradually she can't get him out of her head, and it begins to disrupt her relationship with her boyfriend. Tattoo: A Love Story had its premiere at the 2002 Florida Film Festival where it won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award.

Sara is a 'straight arrow', no nonsense school teacher who has earned the respect of her family, friends, colleagues and community. She frowns on anything that is deviant, until she meets Virgil, a tatoo artist who prefers watching romantic movies to sleeping around. As their friendship turns to romance, Sara finds herself questioning her life's decisions, including her future with her fiance, Brett, and whether she should continue her current life or break free from her bonds to find her true self.

Tattoo: A Love Story is featherweight romantic fluff made memorable by Virgil Mignanelli's smashing lead performance. A relative newcomer, Mignanelli infuses helmer Richard W. Bean's film with a warmth that nearly covers up pic's predictability and lesser perfs. Not quite a big, fat breakout hit waiting to happen, but still a definite audience-pleaser, "Tattoo" (which picked up the top jury and audience prizes for narrative feature at this year's Florida Film Festival) could put its stamp on a few theatrical venues before the surer bet of ancillary exposure.
