This DVD (and any other DVD released anywhere in the world) will play just fine on any multi-region DVD player, bought in USA or elsewhere. It will also play on most computers' DVD drives. Some consumers actually own a multi-region DVD player, without knowing it. All you need to do if you own such Philips, Akai, CyberHome or other DVD player is to use your remote control to switch it to multi-region mode. As such features are almost always not documented by the DVD player's manufacturer, we'd recommend you check your DVD player's capabilities by searching the web for the words 'videohelp DVD Player and Blu-ray Player region codes' and choosing the very first link found.
For our USA customers, if you need an advise for a inexpensive ($30-$40) US DVD player, please feel free to contact us or to read our recommenations here: Our DVD player recommendations. Please keep in mind that we do not sell DVD players.

Synopsis:
Genocide (1982)
A chilling, heartbreaking testament to the strength and suffering of the Jewish people and the courage and heroism of those who came to their aid. With beautiful narration by Orson Welles and Elizabeth Taylor the film begins by providing a look at the flourishing Jewish community in pre-war Europe and then traces their grim trajectory through the ghettos, camps, and prisons of the Nazi regime, introducing the lost victims and brave heroes along the way.

Liberation (1994)
Liberation tells the dramatic story of the battle waged on two fronts during World War II - the Allied campaign to liberate Europe and Hitler's genocidal campaign against the Jews.

The Long Way Home (1997)
The story of the post World War II Jewish refugee situation from liberation to the establishment of the modern state of Israel.

Genocide (1982)
The mass murder of Jewish people by the Nazi regime is chronicled, with a warning that anti-Semitism is on the rise and the events of the Holocaust could happen again. The history of European Jewish culture and events before and during the Holocaust are seen in newsreels, photographs, and animated segments. The words of the victims of the era are read, and footage from the liberation of a concentration camp is shown.

Liberation (1994)
Liberation tells the dramatic story of the battle waged on two fronts during World War II - the Allied campaign to liberate Europe and Hitler's genocidal campaign against the Jews. The World War II documentary uses film footage, radio broadcasts, and period music gathered from archives around the world. Interwoven throughout the film are the compelling stories of the Jews of Europe - unforgettable stories of tragedy, courage, resistance, and survival. Liberation begins in 1942, when Adolf Hitler was still at the height of his power and the Allies began envisioning a cross-channel invasion of Europe. The film takes you behind the scenes to illuminate the strategies and deceptions for the combatants on all sides - from America's and Britain's Home Front to wartime London, Moscow, Washington, D.C., and occupied Paris to Berlin. From Churchill to Roosevelt, from Stalin to de Gaulle, to the Nazi leaders - to the battlefields alongside generals and ordinary soldiers - the film's panoramic sweep records those fateful years. The film exposes the audience to the inescapable and sobering reality that while Hitler was losing the war on the Allied Front, the Nazis were winning their war on the Jews and other innocent victims of the Holocaust. The film reaches its climax with the dramatic liberation of Paris, the Benelux countries, and the death camps, through to V-E Day. Narrated by Ben Kingsley, Patrick Stewart and Whoopi Goldberg, Liberation was a featured selection of the Berlin, Deauville, and Seattle International Film Festivals. It has been broadcast on Cinemax and the Discovery Learning Channels in North America, Great Britain's Channel 4, and in numerous other countries around the world.

The Long Way Home (1997)
This documentary reports events for European Jews from the fall of the Third Reich in 1945 to the formation of the state of Israel in 1948, arguing that creating the Israeli state was necessary given the nature of post-war Europe for these survivors. We see death in concentration camps after liberation, from disease or even from eating too much. We learn of pogroms murdering those who return home. We see the squalor of displaced persons camps. Facing strict British immigration limits into Palestine, many sought passage illegally, often ending up in locked camps in Cyprus. Against this backdrop, Jews in Palestine, Truman in the White House, and UN delegates debate Israel's formation.

Unlikely Heroes (2003)
For most, the idea of Jewish resistance or defiance during the Holocaust is limited to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and a few isolated acts throughout WWII. 'Unlikely Heroes', narrated by Sir Ben Kingsley, highlights 7 previously unknown stories of extraordinary men and women who exemplified the highest levels of courage and human dignity during the most desperate days of the Holocaust.
