·         The master German sculptor for this porcelain figurine was Gerhard Strobek in 1955. It is a wonderful example of the details that make all Goebel Hummel creations a masterpiece. In this figurine, note some of the details that make the builder boy so realistic…i.e. bucket of mortar with trowel, back tie of work apron, bit of dry mortar on shoe, tool in back pocket, a small flower in hat band…etc. It is 5.5” tall with a 2.25” base and weighs 6.2 oz. The figurine is in excellent vintage condition, with number and marking under the base.
