No one wants to pay several hundred dollars in shipping charges because the buyer refused shipment on something that can be fixed, repaired or replaced.
NO CANCELATIONS or RETURNS. When unloading the product you need two able bodied individuals or a manned forklift, this does not include the driver. In most cases they will not help you unload the materials because it is not their responsibility. Failure to unload the product properly will most certainly lead to damage of the product and/or failure to deliver. ANY damage incurred to the product because of failure to unload the materials properly will be the sole responsibility of the customer/contractor. 4). If your shipment arrives damaged, you must first accept the damaged material. We will send you replacement parts for the damaged material. BEFORE SIGNING, you must inspect the freight for any damages and/ or shortages. IF YOU SUSPECT THERE IS DAMAGE TO THE SHIPMENT THE DRIVER MUST CALL INTO THE TERMINAL AND GIVE YOU A CLAIM NUMBER. CALL BLACK ALUMINUM FENCE IF THE DRIVER FAILS TO GET A CLAIM NUMBER. ALSO, NOTE THE DAMAGE ON THE BILL OF LAIDING BEFORE YOU SIGN IT, If you see puncture marks, the corner of the boxes are smooched, or fork lift holes in the boxes these are signs there may be damaged materials inside. Failure to indicate damage on the bill of lading or receiving a CLAIM NUMBER or calling Black Aluminum Fence at the time of delivery makes it impossible for us to make a claim against the shipping company. If damage occurs and you do not get a claim number from the driver or clearance from Black Aluminum Fence then the damaged material becomes your responsibility and is beyond our control. When damage to the shipment has incurred it is at our discretion whether to send you whole new pieces, or send you the replacement parts with which you will and have to disassemble the product replace the damaged pieces with new ones. Since damage is an uncontrollable part of shipping, we cannot be held responsible for lost time do to damaged materials. Most damage is minimal and is easily fixed that is why we ask that you not refuse the shipment. If you do refuse the shipment as you will be held liable for the cost of material and the shipping charges and any collection fees there and back. BLACK ALUMINUM FENCE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTION OR INACTIONS OF THE DELIVERY COMPANY.
Buyer must do the following 4 steps should product arrive damaged due to shipping;
1. Check the order before the delivery driver leaves for any damages.
2. Alert the driver to the damage and have him note it on the Bill of Lading, both copies.
3. Photograph ALL damages.
4. Accept the shipment. Do not refuse the order.
LIFETIME WARRANTY
Every aluminum fence panel, post and gate comes with a Homeowners Lifetime-Limited Warranty that guarantees the aluminum fence against any defects in workmanship. This warranty also promises that the powder coat finish on all products will not chip, peel, crack or flake and that the aluminum fence will never rust for as long as you own your home.
This warranty becomes invalid if the aluminum fence is improperly installed, abused, altered, misused or damaged in transit, an accident, or act of nature. This warranty is intended for the original owner of the product and cannot be transferred for any reason.
To activate the warranty, return your warranty form, along with a copy of the sales invoice and return them within 30 days from product receipt.
