You are bidding on a large original antique print from an 1880s illustrated journal. The quality of the printing from that era was exceptional.

It depicts the city and harbor port of Mobile Alabama as it looked in the 1880s. Very detailed view. If anyone can identify the street or any of the buildings, please let me know!

Thank you to fellow ebayer who provided this info: The two story building in the left corner with citizens on the steps is the old court house and the street running along the left is Royal Street. The street in front of it is known as Government Street or U.S. 90. Within this photograph there is only one building still remaining. Christ Church, which recently had the steeple replaced. Hard to tell, but a section of what would become City Hall may also be visible.

The print
is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 16 inches (28 x 40.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a caption below.

The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.

This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
