Vintage "Famous" Elephant Hand-made Silk Thread

We bought the entire silk thread stock from the manufacturer in 1985. This is the finest hand-made silk thread available. It is far superior to the machine made thread that needs burnishing after wrapping to get rid of the fine hairs. We have the entire plain color range and variegated or jasper range.

Elephant thread was used exclusively by Hardy Bros and all the top American bamboo makers.

We have most of the shades in 100yd spools and 50yd spools. A 50yd spool is long enough for most 9' rods. We sell the 50yd spools for $12/spool.

We offer a 40% discount for buying the same shade and size spool by the dozen. We offer a 25% discount for buying mixed dozens.
