Exquisite length of antique polished cotton chintz. Incredibly beautiful romantic floral done in a lovely array of old fashioned tones. Those wonderful romantic colors in shades of blush rose, blues, buttery yellow, gray green, gray, taupe etc.. The ground is that perfect old milky slightly off white tone. 

There is a sort of very pale subtle tea tone that runs randomly through the ground of the design which was either printed that way purposely or possibly the way the old glaze settled over time? Adds a most perfect touch of vintage to it's overall essence. Pale and somewhat hard to capture in my photos. Please zoom in. Again subtle. It's overall nuance is crisp and clean...fresh with a hint of old fashioned aging.

I'm fairly certain this is an American revival piece done in the 30's but inspired by a much older 19thc design, very possibly French or English.

It's truly sublime in an array of projects, interiors etc..
