A really interesting independant bottling of Dalmore Highland whisky from the marvellous chaps at Gordon and Macphail as part of the old style Connoisseurs Choice range. Fascinatingly matured in refill American Hogsheads (Dalmore is historically known as a heavily sherried dram) this has delicate pineapple, pear and peach aromas that move to grapefruit, lime and fresh herbs on the palate. The finish is smooth with vanilla and coconut. A real departure from the normal style and one well worth trying.
