DESCRIPTION:
• Simple style evocative of Shaker furniture - minimal.
• Original seat replaced with modern plywood, padding and vinyl cover. Jute bias tape applied to cover staples. Brass tack buttons.
•• Measures 25" Tall overall ... 14½" Wide ... 11½" Front to back
•• Seat height about 13 - 13½". . . Seat width 11½" at the front.
• Other recent work: re-glued the dowel joints, sand and urethane the frame.
==> NOTE <== All the work done in my own shop within the last 3 months.
•○• CHAIR weighs just over 4¼ pounds. -- Shipping weight will be about 7 pounds or so, WILL INCLUDE INSURANCE, and be somewhat expensive due to the requirement for a larger than average cardboard shipping box. In person pick up or short distance delivery always an option - please ask.
CONDITION: 8.75 out of 10 -- VERY GOOD CONDITION.
Best of new and old - simple design and traditional material are charming. New cushion and fresh urethane point to long life.
No 'flaws' per se, but the age of the wood and slight staining at the feet require deduction of a few points.
