This clock is handmade of wood.  I started this clock in 2003 and just found it again and finished it.  The center features a marble paint affect with the rest of the clock in black.  The clock itself does detach from the base as shown in the pictures.  I added a new clock movement.  This is a running clock and it is keeping time well.

Clock is approx. 11 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" deep x 11 3/4" tall
